HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this course; however, it is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the first aid training.

If you are under 18 please make sure you download & print this form,
ask your parent / guardian to sign the form and bring it on the day. We are unable to have under 18’s in our public classes without a parent / guardian consent form. 

Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury please discuss this with us prior to booking.

*Note: Appropriate “fit for purpose” footwear and clothing are required when attending this course. IE closed in shoes and Pants.

Course Content

Assessment

This course is assessed through online theory pass mark, Online work must be completed prior to the practical training day.

Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role-plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios – in the face to face practical class component. 

The minimum age requirement for this course is 14 years of age on the date of the training.

Certificates are issued the same day – usually providing the online theory and practical assessments have both been deemed competent.Certificates are emailed to the email provided during enrolment.

 *Note, it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor. Please advise us prior to the course if you are unable to kneel on the floor.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following units of competence:

HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 – Provide first aid

*Note: This course incorporates the content of HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life support.

100 percent profession training on the Central Coast, Erina

Requirements for Completion

Participants are required to attend 100% of this course and be deemed competent to recieve a Statement of Attainment HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

Location

Onsite Training at Erina Leagues Club, 18 Ilya Ave, Erina.

Onsite Group training at your workplace including most parts of NSW & South East Queensland

Validity

Three (3) years from the date of course. It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council that the CPR component of this course be updated every 12 months.
Our comprehensive student management system will remind you approximately 1-2 months before your CPR or First Aid Certificate is due to be refreshed.
