HLTAID009 CPR Training at Erina, Central Coast

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this course; however, it is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the CPR training.

If you are under 18 please make sure you download & print this form & have your parent or guardian  sign the form and bring it on the day. We are unable to have under 18’s in our public classes without a parent / guardian consent form. If your child is training with us, via a school you will not need a parent consent form as your child’s school will arrange this.

Participants will also be required to undertake some practical assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes on your knees.

*Note: Please wear closed in shoes and appropriate clothing. If you have any medical injuries that may prevent you from performing CPR on the floor, please contact us before you book.

Course Content

Assessment

This course is assessed through an online theory pass mark, Online work must be completed prior to your training day. 

Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role-plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios in the practical training class. It will be expected that your online theory has been completed prior to your practical class. 

Certificates are issued the same day – usually, providing the online theory and practical assessments have both been marked as competent. Certificates are emailed to the email address provided during enrolment.

*Note: it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor. Please advise us prior to the course if you are unable to kneel on the floor.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following unit of competence:

HTLAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

100 percent profession training on the Central Coast, Erina

Requirements for Completion

Participants are required to attend 100% of the CPR face to face training assessment and successfully complete the online work prior to the practical class.

Location

Public course training at Erina Leagues Club, 18 Ilya Ave, Erina.

Onsite workplace training is available in most parts of NSW & South East Queensland.

Validity

One (1) year from date of course. It is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council that you update your CPR skills every 12 months.
Our comprehensive student management system will remind you approximately 1-2 months before your CPR or First Aid Certificate is due to be refreshed.

Duration

This CPR course is run over a period of 2 hours face-to-face. There is pre-course online learning  to complete prior to attending. All practical assessment activities are conducted during face-to-face training.
