HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this course; however, it is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the first aid training.

If you are under 18 please make sure you download & print this form,
and have your parent or guardian sign the form and bring it on the day. We are unable to have under 18’s in our public classes without a parent / gaurdian consent form signed.

Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury please discuss this with us prior to booking.

 

Course Content

Assessment

This course is assessed through online activity, demonstration, presentation and application of all elements of competency in the workplace. Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role-plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios.

Certificates are issued the same day – usually, providing participants have been deemed competent. Certificates are emailed to the email address provided during enrolment.

*Note, it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor. Please notify us prior to the course if you are unable to kneel on the floor.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following unit of competence:

HLTAID012 – Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

*Note: This unit of competence incorporates the content of HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

100 percent profession training on the Central Coast, Erina

Requirements for Completion

Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully complete all online assessments and a practical components.

Location

Public course training at Erina Leagues Club, 18 Ilya Ave, Erina.

Onsite Group Training is available in most parts of NSW & South East Queensland.

Validity

Three (3) years from the date of issue. You are required to undertake annual CPR refresher training.
Our comprehensive student management system will remind you approximately 1-2 months before your CPR or First Aid Certificate is due to be refreshed.
